Hi how was radio Monday?
Spooky asked me in the week to come, I went and there was supposed to be a few of us, but it was just me by myself, lean! trying to remember my bars coz I’m rubbish at remembering my bars I’ll have the wickedest lyric and I can’t remember it. People make me remember my bars if im on sets with the crew and I get gassed.
So when people drop their bars, you think ahh yeah ??
Yeah but they was just me in a room and I’m not gassed but I like it when someone else is there get a vibe and make me gass my voice.
So the single ‘Deepest Darkest’ dropped yesterday ?
Obviously you weren’t locked in yesterday ?
Yes I was, I was just wondering how you felt it went, I’d never heard you do a solo set ?
Any time I can exercise my bars I’m there. I try not to go every week, and I don’t like having a camera in my face at radio. Every radio station you got to now has some guy sticking a camera in your face. When i go radio its not about that I don’t wanna perform i wanna exercise my bars.
So u wanna tell me a bit more about the single? Tell me about the video !! Who produced the single ?
Keyboard kid produced it, I laid the track in December late last year.
Was it always gonna be a single that was part of this Rise of the LengMan project ?
No, it was a thing where I got a load of beats and I’d just done ‘Man in the Boot’, and it will go quiet then hot and I was just grabbing beats from everywhere,
Keyboard Kid sent the beat. I initially sprayed out the track back to back, no chorus, we was listening to it back and decided to slap a chorus in to it and make it a problem. We did the chorus then re arranged the tune and decided to do a video.
Now the video !! The best I have ever seen, I need to talk to about this video, How did you keep it quiet how did it end up in Ghana ?
I didn’t really think about it that much, I had lots of ideas then we thought we will go and do it. Plus its good to look back n go rar look what we did and plus any time I get to jump on a plane and go anywhere I’m in it for the experience.
How long ago did you shoot the video?
I shot the video in February!
How have you kept it quiet ?

How has a video like that not been leaked? or spoken about!
You did you just didn’t know!! If you look I came out wearing the suit at a rave in Cable! What it is yeah I can do a tune today when that tune surfaces I don’t know so it will be new to you but its soooo old . I’ve been watching it for months. and I just want it out now
Do you find that quite frustrating as an artist, the wait between wrapping and release?
Yeah I’m like that should have been out doing that damage from early, I don’t know why it takes so long but it does to do it properly, so I have to patient then enjoy it when its out. Even when the video drops its still not out I have to wait for it to come out I wanna hear my people in jail wanna hear it and they cant hear it yet, its not about the ££ its about going through the motion. I’ve got so much stuff to bring out.

Yeah I thought I can get my stuff out, by the way which was your favourite track ?
For me it was the JME Tempa T track.
Ahh yeah, that was the first track I recorded when I got out of jail, I got a lot of things just siting there.
Yeah but don’t give everything a way for free either !!
I’ve been sitting on some stuff for so long and I know I shouldn’t give stuff out for free but if I didn’t you’d never hear you wouldn’t have heard ‘Free Chronik’ or Ring. I’m pissed I can’t give you the new thing for free so I give some other stuff away.
Whats happening with ‘Rise of the Lengman’ do you know when that’s dropping?
It’s not dropping now, everyone started saying coming soon off ’Rise of the Lengman’ but it wasn’t and you gotta keep everyone sweet. Its all done and wrapped now I gotta make it into something people want rather than what is was. Its more hip hop, but my biggest fan base is grime so I gotta cater to them.
